Today we mark the 197th birthday of Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace, writer, mathematician, icon of the nerd, steampunk and computing world. Ada, the only legitimate daughter of the infamous Lord Byron, is frequently credited with being the “first computer programmer” for her work with Charles Babbage’s Difference and Analytical engines. Babbage himself dubbed her “The Enchantress of Numbers”.

- 1 measure of vodka
- 1 measure of triple sec
- 1/2 measure of Lillet® Blanc
Glass: Cocktail or Martini
Garnish: 1 peel garnish lemon
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish

- 2 oz gin
- 3/4 oz orange liqueur
- The Juice of 1 freshly squeezed lime
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with a generous amount of ice. The Analytical EnGine tastes best when you shake it till you earn one cardio exercise unit for the week. Shake, shake, shake this baby till the liquid is filled with tiny shards of broken ice. Strain cocktail into a martini glass. Serve immediately!
