No Superbowl party is complete without the essentials: wings, pizza, and most importantly beer! This year why not create a unique Superbowl experience with a unique beverage? Stand out with these beer cocktail recipes from beer sommelier Hayley Jenson. Hayley’s versatile creations include a uniquely crafted drink, as well as a twist on some classics.
Michelada
- Bottle of lager (Haley uses Lagunitas Pilsner)
- dash lime juice
- dash hot sauce
- 1 oz. bloody mary mix
Pour into salt-rimmed pint glass with a little ice.
Pina Punch
- Soak pineapple chunks in simple syrup with chopped fresh mint.
- Put a spoonful of the fruit over ice in a highball glass.
- Add a shot of Tequila Revolucion.
Then add 1/2 a bottle of Belgian-style wit. Haley recommends Allagash White.
Trailblazer
- Muddle brandied cherries in honey in a highball glass.
- Fill glass with ice.
- Add a 1 oz. shot of Maker’s Mark bourbon.
- Add 4 oz. Nut Brown Ale.
- Stir.
