Today in 1933, the state of Utah ratified the 21st Amendment to the Constitution. With the three-quarters majority achieved, the Amendment passed and the dark days of Prohibition were finally over.
Scofflaw
The name scofflaw stems from a newspaper contest that asked readers to come up with a word for the people who knowingly violated Prohibition.

- 1½ oz bourbon
- 1½ oz dry vermouth
- ½ oz lemon juice
- ¼ oz grenadine
- 1 dash orange bitters
Glass: Martini
Garnish: Lemon zest twist
shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.
