Let’s Get this out of the Way- The Disclosure:
The A History of Drinking team was lucky enough to receive a bottle of Caorunn Gin. We are a big fan after trying the product at this years Tales of the Cocktail. They were one of our favorites from the Craft Distillers event.
But, even though we did not pay this time, this is a product we most certainly would have no problem paying for in the future. It is a great product that is packaged in a nicely designed bottle. It will look great in your bar.
Caorunn is a small batch distilled, hand crafted, Scottish Gin that features Rowan Berry and other botanicals.
The Nose:
We smelled some citrus, as well as the usual Juniper. Very pleasant.
Taste:
The Juniper, as well as a variety of citrus flavors was obviously evident. But we also sensed a bit of vanilla. It’s also dry and spicy, a truly unique combination. Some people even sensed a bit of caramel, although not everyone noted this.
Pricing Details:
Approximately $35.
