Today we’re sending out birthday wishes to iconic graphic-novel author and sometimes film director, Frank Miller, born on this day in 1957 in Olney, Maryland. Probably best known for his 1986 masterpiece “The Dark Night Returns”, which featured a 55-year old Bruce Wayne coming out of retirement to fight crime in the grim, dark future, and ushered in a new wave of adult-oriented comics and characters. His other famous works included both Sin City and 300, a re-telling of the last stand of the Spartans at the battle of Thermopylae.
